Greetings Brahma-land Youth Hockey Families:
Believe it or not, the fall recreational hockey season at the NYTEX Sports Centre is almost upon us. Early registrations are available now by following the online registration link (Insert Link). Beginning in 2010-11 and for the first time, teams from the NYTEX Sports Centre will participate in the Dallas Stars Youth Hockey League. This season, the DSYHL will feature teams competing at the NYTEX Sports Centre and all of the Dr. Pepper Star Centers. Know that your child does not have to play travel hockey, nor do you have to spend thousands of dollars in order for you to enjoy a great season of hockey. We will provide every participant in our league the finest hockey experience possible in a FUN, safe, friendly environment. Our recreational hockey program is the best league in town and offers all of these great features for its participants.
NYTEX will be home rink to teams at each the Mite, Squirt, Pee Wee & Bantam levels. All of your home games will be on the same ice as the CHL Champion Texas Brahmas.
The new and exciting Mite program is specifically designed for players per the guidelines set by USA Hockey and the ADM.
During the season your teams on ice practice session will include guest coaching participation of professional hockey players from your Texas Brahmas! All team will have the option to play a league game at the American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Stars. Youll play on the same ice where the Dallas Stars play. The league will have an All Star game at each age level with the top players from each team. Each player will receive a special All Star jersey to commemorate the occasion. Every player will receive two tickets to a Dallas Stars regular season game and two tickets to a Texas Brahmas home game! Format will include leveling games and a tiered schedule so that your team will play comparably skilled teams throughout the season and playoffs. Expanded NYTEX / Jr. Brahmas Prep House All Star Program, featuring 1 additional practice or game each week for players ready for more ice time!
Important Dates:
All of the features listed above plus all of the great things you have come to expect from the NYTEX Sports Centre and the DSYHL will make 2010-2011 a great season. Features such as the Presidents Day Tournament, Pointstreak, a preseason Coaches Clinic and convenient, consistent scheduling make this the top recreational league of its kind anywhere in the country.
Jr. Brahmas Prep Program - Three to four weeks after the season begins we will hold tryouts at each level for players interested in participating on the Jr. Brahmas Prep teams at the Squirt & Peewee levels. These teams will consist of players registered and playing in the league. Players who make the Jr. Brahmas Prep teams will continue to play on their recreational team and will also play on the Jr. Brahmas Prep team approximately once per week participating in a practice or a game. Games will be played against All Star prep teams from the other local rinks. The cost to play on the Jr. Brahmas Prep team will be $299 per player in addition to the normal league registration fee and will include a custom jersey. The program will include a minimum of 10 games plus practices and also allows teams the flexibility to register for a limited number of tournaments provided they do not conflict with regularly scheduled games.
Feel free to contact us with any questions about the program... just use our contact form found under the "Contact Us" tab and someone will get back to you!
